MY REPLY TO MAXINE WATERS

“The Tea Party can go to Hell”? And you’re going to help the Tea Party go to Hell? Really, Maxine? Thank you for the invitation, Maxine, but I wouldn’t feel comfortable in your house.

The Tea Party is evil? Why? Because we love this country and believe it’s exceptional? Because we want our country to live within it’s means? Because we want our government to abide by the Constitution? We want the Rule of Law enforced? Because we want the country our forefathers designed for us? Their design providing the freedom for us to create a country so attractive that millions of people flee other countries to come here and enjoy the same freedom. Immigrants fled the very things you are trying to impose on us.

We’re the evil ones, Maxine? How so? Because we would like some of your massive social welfare programs cut? How have they help your constituants? The districts represented by the members of the Black Caucus have poverty rates nearly 50% higher than the national average. Why is that? If you are so concerned with the welfare of the black community, why has black umemployment increased from 12% when Bush left office to 16% under Obama. Why are 72% of black children born out of wedlock? Why are most black children raised in fatherless homes? Why do most drop out of school? This is in YOUR districts. Tea Party had nothing to do with the plight of the black communities. But you do. You and the Democrats have been in the majority since 2007. How has the black community improved during that time? The Stimulus Bill you voted for only saved state employee union jobs, and at about $250,000 a piece. The Stimulus Bill didn’t create any jobs in the private sector. But you want to spend more money. How will bankrupting the country improve the lives of black citizens? You said that companies are not hiring and are hording money. Why would they do that, Maxine? Maybe because of the burden of ObamaCare, Dodd/Frank, EPA regulations that will drive energy prices through the roof, and what else you plan to shove down our throats. Businesses can’t hire unless there is an increased demand for what they do. When we have to pay twice as much for energy, food, etc, and you want to increase taxes (and so do States) we can’t spend and businesses can’t hire.

We believe blacks are as capable as anyone of achieving success. Do you? Your actions don’t reflect it. You support every program that treats blacks as if they are incapable of succeeding without your help. You support every welfare program that keeps the dollars coming as long as black women have no job or husband. You do everything possible to keep racism in the forefront. You might be surprised to know we don’t think about race until you bring it up. And that there are black Tea Party members, lots of them. We welcome anyone who shares our values and belief in the greatness of this country as designed by our forefathers.

Have you noticed what is going on in Greece and England recently? France and Portugal? As Margaret Thatcher predicted, they have run out of other people’s money. Their citizens are protesting. They are telling their governments they haven’t done enough and demanding they do more. Those countries have made promises they can’t possibly honor. Democrats in this country ignore this and are doing the same. We, Tea Partiers have gone to the streets to protest too, however, not to demand our government do more, but to tell them we can do it OURSELVES! To get off our backs and out of our pockets. What we earn is OURS, not yours. We earned it, you didn’t.

Tea Party members are the least scary people you can find. We are your neighbors, we’re Moms and Dads, Grandmas and Grandpas, doctors and teachers, etc. We are the people who believe citizenship is a responsibility. We worked hard, started businesses, raised our children to be responsible adults. We never believed in our wildest dreams that our country could be so easily lost. We want to perserve the chance this country has given everyone, the chance to succeed.

If what we believe causes you to damn us to Hell, so be it.
