For a change today there is some good news to those of us who believe in the Constitution. Yesterday Anthony Weiner and Eliot Spitzer were shown the door by New York voters. Colorado recalled two gun grabbing legislators. And in Washington D.C. THE MILLION MUSLIM MARCH drew only a few hundred while THE MILLION BIKER MARCH drew hundreds of thousands of bikers showing what patriotism is all about. This gives me hope for the future of our country.

As many of you know I speak to anyone who will listen about Agenda 21. I have been very active in fighting it’s local implementation through I.C.L.E.I. I have a good friend and fellow Agenda 21 fighter who is a city Councilman in an Orange County city. When his city tried to push through a “Green Cities” plan (i.e. ICLEI) he called his friends and we came up with 246 questions about the plan that would require a good deal of research, time and money to answer. We went to his city council meeting and spoke out against the plan. The result was that the plan was postponed for further study (which will never happen).

ICLEI has been being pushed by the Southern California Association of Governments (or SCAG). Last year they held meetings open to the public to give the illusion of public approval. Of course the meetings were not well publicized and held on weekdays during work hours. They peopled the meetings with supporters who have monetary or political reasons for supporting their plans. Fortunately Property Rights groups circulated the meeting schedules and quite a few of us attended them. They show a glossy video that tells us how we’re all going to love living in “Walkable Communities”. How we were going to love living without cars. They show the multi-use buildings with commercial space on the first floor and at least three stories of apartments above (and no parking for the buildings). Of course all these “sustainable communities” are necessary because of global warming and the desperate need to reduce out carbon footprint.

My city councilman friend and a group of us went to a meeting in Orange county last year. The meeting was run by an official from SCAG. He appears in the glossy video explaining how we’re going to love all these plans. He started the meeting by saying he had heard the conspiracy theories (Agenda21) and this was no evil plan for One World Government. We, of course, gave him an ear full. We spoke to him after the meeting too and told him where we got our information.

This week my city councilman friend (I’m not using names because this was told to me in confidence) called me to tell me he had lunch with the SCAG official from that meeting. Apparently he listened to us and did some research on his own. He said global warming was a fraud and he wants my friend to work with him in the SCAG council to change their direction. He also thinks my friend should run for higher office (I agree). This is FABULOUS news.

The entire global warming scam is falling apart because, of course, there is NO global warming. There is 60% more ice on the polar caps, the seas are NOT rising and there has been cooling for the last 15 years even though green house gases have increased. They can’t even blame “climate change” on green house gases anymore. There have been fewer tornado’s NOT more. They won’t be able to convince people that CO2 needs to be reduced or regulated anymore and without that what reason do they have to move us out of our homes into stack and pack apartments along transportation corridors? Or force us out of our cars.

It’s a good day for our side.

What a great blog entry! Glad to hear “our side” is winning a few. We did well in 2010 but sort of fell apart last year and ended up with four more years of the community apologist, but more people are waking up to the fact that elections (and staying home on election day) have consequences.

Re the CO2 issue, I had an interesting conversation with a woman who is very knowledgeable in her field–horse training–but thinks that she is also an expert in all things. She said the reason CO2 was increasing was due to all the pavement. We were paving too many roads, building too many freeways. I said I didn’t think it was a good idea to stop paving roads–harder to haul horses long distances to show them if there were no freeways–but an even greater source of CO2 is the OCEAN so maybe we should drain the oceans instead.

    She changed the subject.

I wish these liberal “experts” would take classes in basic science, basic economics and United States History. Then they’d see they are being misled by their party.

    • You are correct, the greatest source of CO2 is the ocean. Your friend needs to take a plane trip across the country and look down. Only 9% of this country is developed. 91% has few roads or buildings and the 9% isn’t enough to effect CO2. Regardless, CO2 isn’t causing global warming so it doesn’t matter how many roads there are.

We now know why the Tea Party wasn’t as effective in 2012 as 2010. IRS harassment. The fact that they couldn’t take donations and the amount of paperwork demanded of them with threat of jail, hamstrung the Tea party. In addition to that, Ron Paul voters didn’t vote because he wasn’t on the ballot AND there was rampant voter fraud in the swing states. More than 100% of eligible voters voted.

      Thanks for your comment.

It’s really quite simple. There are billions more people on the planet than there were in the 1970’s. So, let’s say you have a small cabin which is comfortable for 5 people to live in. Now, let’s add 45 more people to that small cabin. It suddenly gets a whole lot warmer in that cabin. That’s just simple 7th grade science and to deny it is absurd.

      • We are in no danger of over population or depleting our resources. Only 9% of America’s land mass is developed. 9%. Nature has a way of keeping population in check. Natural disasters, famine and diseases do a find job. If we took the ENTIRE population of the world, broke it up into families of four and gave them a half an acre of land we could fit the ENTIRE population into Texas. That’s 7th grade math and absurd to deny.

Rick Santorum, a true Conservative recently said Global Warming is a hoax:
Santorum is entitled to his own opinion, of course. But voters shouldn’t be misled into thinking carbon dioxide isn’t a problem, or that climate scientists don’t overwhelmingly agree that global warming is real and human activities are making it worse.
    – Lori Robertson
If we can agree that is a reliable and non-partisan group of people who are dedicated to finding the truth on all things…including criticizing Obama, maybe we could start a conversation?

  3. Do we agree Fact Check is a non-partisan group? No. I don’t rely on Fact Check. I get my information from the source. I have met with scientists who are actually in the field of study. Santorum is right, global warming IS a hoax. CO2 ISN’T a problem. CO2 is a plant food and without it we would’t exist. During the Neoproterozonic era the atmosphere was 30% CO2 and the earth is still here. Recently the IPCC admitted there has been NO WARMING for the last 15 years. Climate gate showed us the data had been manipulated so why would you continue to believe it?
But for your education here are some FACTS for you to consider. It is the height of arrogance to think man could have any effect on temperature or climate change.

    From NASA

Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works reports 52 scientists authored the IPCC report (HARDLY 97% of all climate scientists). From their website this is what disagreeing scientists said:
“I am a skeptic…Global warming has become a new religion.” – Nobel Prize Winner for Physics, Ivar Giaever.

“Since I am no longer affiliated with any organization nor receiving any funding, I can speak quite frankly….As a scientist I remain skeptical.” –  Atmospheric Scientist Dr. Joanne Simpson, the first woman in the world to receive a PhD in meteorology  and formerly of NASA who has authored more than 190 studies and has been called “among the most preeminent scientists of the last 100 years.”

Warming fears are the “worst scientific scandal in the history…When people come to know what the truth is, they will feel deceived by science and scientists.” – UN IPCC Japanese Scientist Dr. Kiminori Itoh, an award-winning PhD environmental physical chemist.

“The IPCC has actually become a closed circuit; it doesn’t listen to others. It doesn’t have open minds… I am really amazed that the Nobel Peace Prize has been given on scientifically incorrect conclusions by people who are not geologists,” – Indian geologist Dr. Arun D. Ahluwalia at Punjab University and a board member of the UN-supported International Year of the Planet.

“The models and forecasts of the UN IPCC “are incorrect because they only are based on mathematical models and presented results at scenarios that do not include, for example, solar activity.” – Victor Manuel Velasco Herrera, a researcher at the Institute of Geophysics of the National Autonomous University of Mexico
“It is a blatant lie put forth in the media that makes it seem there is only a fringe of scientists who don’t buy into anthropogenic global warming.” – U.S Government Atmospheric Scientist Stanley B. Goldenberg of the Hurricane Research Division of NOAA.

“Even doubling or tripling the amount of carbon dioxide will virtually have little impact, as water vapour and water condensed on particles as clouds dominate the worldwide scene and always will.” – . Geoffrey G. Duffy, a professor in the Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering of the University of Auckland, NZ.

“After reading [UN IPCC chairman] Pachauri’s asinine comment [comparing skeptics to] Flat Earthers, it’s hard to remain quiet.” – Climate statistician Dr. William M. Briggs, who specializes in the statistics of forecast evaluation, serves on the American Meteorological Society’s Probability and Statistics Committee and is an Associate Editor of Monthly Weather Review.

“For how many years must the planet cool before we begin to understand that the planet is not warming? For how many years must cooling go on?” – Geologist Dr. David Gee the chairman of the science committee of the 2008 International Geological Congress who has authored 130 plus peer reviewed papers, and is currently at Uppsala University in Sweden.
“Gore prompted me to start delving into the science again and I quickly found myself solidly in the skeptic camp…Climate models can at best be useful for explaining climate changes after the fact.” – Meteorologist Hajo Smit of Holland, who reversed his belief in man-made warming to become a skeptic, is a former member of the Dutch UN IPCC committee.

“Many [scientists] are now searching for a way to back out quietly (from promoting warming fears), without having their professional careers ruined.” – Atmospheric physicist James A. Peden, formerly of the Space Research and Coordination Center in Pittsburgh.

“Creating an ideology pegged to carbon dioxide is a dangerous nonsense…The present alarm on climate change is an instrument of social control, a pretext for major businesses and political battle. It became an ideology, which is concerning.” – Environmental Scientist Professor Delgado Domingos of Portugal, the founder of the Numerical Weather Forecast group, has more than 150 published articles.

“CO2 emissions make absolutely no difference one way or another….Every scientist knows this, but it doesn’t pay to say so…Global warming, as a political vehicle, keeps Europeans in the driver’s seat and developing nations walking barefoot.” – Dr. Takeda Kunihiko, vice-chancellor of the Institute of Science and Technology Research at Chubu University in Japan.

“The [global warming] scaremongering has its justification in the fact that it is something that generates funds.” – Award-winning Paleontologist Dr. Eduardo Tonni, of the Committee for Scientific Research in Buenos Aires and head of the Paleontology Department at the University of La Plata.

Letter by NASA scientists and astronauts:
    The Honorable Charles Bolden, Jr.
NASA Administrator
NASA Headquarters
Washington, D.C. 20546-0001
    Dear Charlie,
We, the undersigned, respectfully request that NASA and the Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS) refrain from including unproven remarks in public releases and websites. We believe the claims by NASA and GISS, that man-made carbon dioxide is having a catastrophic impact on global climate change are not substantiated, especially when considering thousands of years of empirical data. With hundreds of well-known climate scientists and tens of thousands of other scientists publicly declaring their disbelief in the catastrophic forecasts, coming particularly from the GISS leadership, it is clear that the science is NOT settled.
The unbridled advocacy of CO2 being the major cause of climate change is unbecoming of NASA’s history of making an objective assessment of all available scientific data prior to making decisions or public statements.
As former NASA employees, we feel that NASA’s advocacy of an extreme position, prior to a thorough study of the possible overwhelming impact of natural climate drivers is inappropriate. We request that NASA refrain from including unproven and unsupported remarks in its future releases and websites on this subject. At risk is damage to the exemplary reputation of NASA, NASA’s current or former scientists and employees, and even the reputation of science itself.
For additional information regarding the science behind our concern, we recommend that you contact Harrison Schmitt or Walter Cunningham, or others they can recommend to you.
Thank you for considering this request.

You are certainly well-versed with notable names and resources. However, most of these people are deceased or have become irrelevant over time. The newest technology is quite clear on man-made global warming and I know you have cited National Geographic as a reliable source in some of your past postings. Here is one from July of this year with actual photographs. I hope we can discuss this as two reasonable people:

      • You can stop trying to convince me. Most of these people are deceased? Which ones? The studies I posted are the latest technology. Ice caps 60% increase. The IPCC RECENTLY admited there has been no global warming in more than 15 years. As I said, I’ve actually discussed this with atmospheric physicists and meteorologists.

Go talk to someone who doesn’t know better.
