Elise Richmond is a talk radio host in the Palm Springs area. Her show is on Sundays, 9am to 11am, on 94.3 FM. This Saturday she hosted a speaker series entitled, “Rally America” at the Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage.
The first speaker was Reverend Jesse Lee Peterson. Peterson is an outspoken critic of the Civil Rights establishment. He is the founder of BOND, a nationally recognized nonprofit organization dedicated to “Rebuilding the Family by Rebuilding the Man”.
He also founded the BOND Academy, a private school for at risk kids. Peterson is a talk show host, and a commentator on Fox News, CNN and other national radio and television networks.
Peterson spoke of growing up without a father, filled with anger and fear. He was told, constantly, by Black Civil Rights leaders that his anger and fear was caused by being oppressed by the White man and he believed them. The race hustlers, as Peterson calls them, benefit from keeping the Black community angry, resentful and stuck in victimhood.
Blaming failure on the oppression of the White man absolves the Black community of any responsibility or need for introspection. They can blame the White man and never look at what they may be doing that leads to failure. When the White man fails he has no one to blame but himself.
Race hustlers dismiss the Constitution because they say it was written by White slave owners. If that were true they would have said, “all White men were created equal, not “all men were created equal”. They need to be reminded the Constitution is based on the laws of nature and nature’s God. God created all men.
Peterson spoke of the Black community being very Christian but he said if their hearts are filled with hatred for the White man they will not be forgiven. One must forgive to be forgiven. He has written a book, “The Antidote”, that will be released in November but he brought some advance copies for those who would like one.
Rev. Peterson said White people have been afraid of being called a racist and they need to stop being afraid. He said we must speak the truth, regardless of the consequences. But it isn’t enough to speak the truth, we must be courageous in speaking the truth. The Reverend is one of the most courageous men I know.
Next was Richard Grennel, the longest serving U.S. spokesman to the United Nations in history. He served as Mitt Romney’s National Security and Foreign Affairs advisor as well as being advisor to four U.S. Ambassadors. He was Director of Communications and Public Diplomacy for the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations. He was also the alternative Representative to the UN Security Council with full voting rights and privileges. He is also an expert commentator on Fox News.
Grennel said when you go to a United Nations meeting all eyes are on the desk with the sign that says, “United States”. Whether or not a country agreed with our plans, they knew we had a plan, but no more. The United States no longer has a plan and the rest of the countries are tripping over each other because they don’t have a plan either.
Grennel places the creation of ISIS at the door of the President. It’s this President’s lack of foreign policy that has resulted in the destabilization of the Middle East. It wouldn’t take much to stop ISIS but Obama promised no boots on the ground and there will be no boots on the ground. He said one of the biggest failures was Secretary Clinton’s idea to take down Momar Kadafi. Libya is now in the hands of ISIS and Christians are being slaughtered.
Although, it is the United States official position that Syria’s Assad must go, this President will take no action to facilitate it. He drew a line in the sand and then did nothing when Assad crossed it. Our enemies now know the United States will take no action against them and are becoming bolder by the day.
Someone in the audience asked about Russia’s involvement in the Middle East and didn’t Grennel think it was a good thing the Russians were fighting ISIS instead of the United States. He completely disagreed. He said the Russians aren’t there because fighting ISIS was the right thing to do, they are there because they are businessmen and they are establishing a presence in the Middle East. The other countries will then need to accept their presence and negotiate with them. Russians want to do business there and have access to the oil.
I asked Mr. Grennel about the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Paris this December. He said he believed Obama would push hard for a World Tax that would make the Western countries (primarily America) responsible for whatever disasters happen around the world. It will be the permanent redistribution of America’s wealth.
Last, but certainly not least, Ann Coulter spoke. Ann’s obsession (as well as mine) is stopping illegal immigration, primarily, but all immigration for some years, as well. We need time to sort things out before allowing any more immigration and that starts with securing our border.
Coulter spoke about how carefully her book, “Adios America” had been researched. She had only planned to have immigration be a few chapters in a book she was writing but when she discovered how difficult it was to get accurate information on immigrants, legal and illegal, she decided it needed to be an entire book. She found many statistics leave out the race or nationality of the people. She had to look at prison statistics to get more accurate crime statistics. And now that the White House took over the census, you can’t believe any of the numbers.
Coulter said Donald Trump requested an advanced copy of her book before he announced his candidacy and what he said about illegal immigration was based on her research. She said if we don’t secure our border, stop chain migration and anchor babies we won’t have a country. To suggest the 14th Amendment applies to people here illegally is insulting. The 14th Amendment was to apply to Blacks who didn’t come here of their own free will. It was never meant to apply to people who cross the border just to give birth so that they can access our social services. The Left fights against any attempts to stop or slow immigration. It’s hard to understand how anyone believes this country’s economy or culture can survive by allowing an endless flood of poor, uneducated, dependent people.
Someone asked her if people who overstayed their visas weren’t as big or bigger a problem. She laughed and said that’s a distraction to take the focus off the border crossers. One quarter of the population Mexico has already crossed our border. Does the entire country have to come here before we secure our border? The supporters of open borders will never tell you how many is enough.
Coulter said this is the result of Ted Kennedy’s 1965 Immigration Bill that changed the immigration policy from bringing in people from Western countries whose culture and education was similar to ours and who filled a need, to chain migration for “family unification”. Kennedy promised it wouldn’t change our culture. Why would anyone believe people from third world countries wouldn’t change our culture? And how many times has Washington promised us something to get us to agree when they knew it wasn’t true? Weren’t we promised the 1986 Amnesty Bill would be “one time and one time only”?
Coulter reminded us of the absurdity of believing someone’s uneducated cousin from Bolivia would benefit America more than a scientist or doctor from Austria. She also said unless we go to the Middle East, we are in little danger from ISIS, however, bringing in refugees whose culture is the antithesis of ours is insanity.
Counter firmly believes that if we don’t elect a President who will secure our border and stop illegal immigration we’re done. She believes only Donald Trump will do that. I believe Ted Cruz and Ben Carson would as well, but I’d consider voting for Trump if that was the only thing he did.
