WHAT’S THE DOWNSIDE OF CHRISTIANITY?

In case you hadn’t noticed, Christianity is under attack. Christians are called “haters”. Recently, Senator Diane Feinstein said she didn’t think she could support a judge nominee because of her “Christian dogma”. It’s a judge’s duty is to enforce the law as written. Being a Christian wouldn’t conflict with enforcing the law. Most laws conform with the Ten Commandments. We have laws against stealing, murdering, libel, adultery, etc. Progressives like secular judges who are likely to loosely interpret law and legislate from the bench. That’s how they circumvent the will of the people. Christian judges are more likely to follow laws as written. Romans 3:31 “Do we then overthrow the law by this faith? By no means. On the contrary, we uphold the law”.

We just have to look at what is happening around us. Christianity is banned from our schools. Many schools won’t even allow a Christian club or prayer group. But Islam IS being taught in our schools and Muslims ARE allowed to pray in school. Sports teams are sued to prevent them from praying before, during, or after games. They aren’t allowed to even show signs of thanks or faith such as looking skyward or bowing their heads. But Muslims are allowed to pray in streets, blocking traffic. Nativity scenes at Christmas are restricted or banned. Cross memorials are being taken down. But, why? What is the downside of Christianity?

I remember a time when being a Christian was a career enhancement. It has become a career ender in these days of social justice. But why? May I remind everyone of #27 of the Communist Goals read into the Congressional Record in 1963, “…..replace revealed religion with social religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity which does not need a religious crutch.” and #28 “Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in schools on the grounds it violates the principal of separation of church and state.” Good job, Progressives, you can check those off.

Christianity teaches forgiveness. Matthew 6:14 “For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly father will also forgive you.” Christians understand we are all sinners and fall short in the eyes of the Lord. “Judge not lest ye be judged”. The Bible teaches to “hate the sin but love the sinner”. Because Christians believe marriage is between a man and a woman they are called “haters” with such viciousness no rational discussion can continue. But let’s discuss it anyway. Does believing marriage is between a man and a woman mean Christians hate gays? Of course not. Many have gay friends or family members that they care about and want to be happy. But the Bible says homosexuality is a sin. Christians are being persecuted for believing the Bible. The Left is demonizing the Bible. It must be removed from hotel rooms. Removed from schools. Not read, not quoted. Christians can believe homosexuality is a sin and still love gays. And they can forgive the Left for judging them. Without forgiveness people carry the burden of anger, resentment, revenge and sorrow that prevents them from living a full, happy life. It has been my experience that people able to forgive are free of that burden. What is the downside of forgiveness?

Christianity teaches the sanctity of life. Psalm 127:3 “Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward.” Do Christians seriously need to defend that? If a society no longer believes life is scared there is little they won’t accept. For a civil society to survive there need to be values, principals and guidelines to live by. The secular Left wants us to believe until birth an infant is just a lump of cells and it’s mother has a “right” to abort it. Christianity doesn’t take away a woman’s “right to chose”. There are numerous choices a woman is able to make BEFORE aborting a child. She can chose to abstain, she can chose to use birth control, and as long as Roe vs Wade is law, she still has three months to chose abortion. But why would she chose to abort a viable child when she could give birth and give the child to a couple desperate to love and raise her child. What’s the downside of protecting life?

Christianity teaches redemption. 1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” Christians know if they admit their sin and ask forgiveness they will be redeemed. Recognizing what they did was a sin prevents them from repeating it. The problem Progressives have with this is that they don’t want anything to be considered a sin. They don’t think anyone should feel guilt or shame. If an Islamist kills hundreds of innocent people, it’s because they were provoked. If someone turns to crime it’s because they had a bad childhood. If protestors damage property, loot, or burn businesses someone treated them unjustly. But the property owners didn’t treat them unjustly. How do you solve injustice by being unjust to others? Justice needs to be equal to all or it isn’t justice. For a civil society there need to be rules to live by. There need to be behaviors that are not acceptable. Christianity gives us those rules and forgives us when we fall short. What is the downside of redemption?

And Christianity teaches there is life after death. John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life”. Even if atheists are right and this is it, there is no more…..nada, nothing. What is the incentive to live an ethical, moral life? Why not lie, cheat and steal? What have you got to lose? And, how unfair life would be if you were born with a birth defect, you were born into slavery, you were one of the millions murdered by dictators, you were maimed in war, or contracted a deadly disease? How meaningless life would be. People need to believe life has meaning. Losing a loved one is one of the most painful events in our lives but believing you will be reunited with that loved one makes their loss less painful. The belief in life after death is comforting and reassuring and it inspires Christians to live kind, moral, unselfish lives. Even if atheists were right, you’d never know, would you? But believing inspires you to be a better person, so, what’s the down side of believing in life after death?

While there have been violent and evil acts done in the name of Christianity, they have been done against the teachings of Jesus, not in accordance. Christianity’s offer of forgiveness, redemption, love and everlasting life attracts followers. There is no need to mandate belief in Christianity. You are free to believe or not…….so what is the down side?

  1. Frank says:

I don’t think Christians are being persecuted Michael. It’s just the over-the-top Evangelicals who preach one thing but do not practice what they preach. These people are largely responsible for the election of Trump. They voted for a guy who openly brags about his abuse of women and finds glee in what he has done. I have a friend in DC and he privately says his wife won’t sleep in the same bedroom with him anymore because of all the gas he passes from his crazy diet. (Friend is VERY reliable)

Would you let any of your daughters or grandchildren date this guy?

Any man who treats women the way Trump does should not be the leader of the Free World. He is an embarrassment to our country.

I hope you are safe from the fires in CA. Have a Merry Christmas!

    • I don’t know where you get your information. You are aware the ACLU goes around suing schools to prevent players from praying on or off the field, aren’t you? You are aware Christians aren’t allowed to pray in school but Muslims are, aren’t you? This is not against evangelicals, it’s against Christianity. You are delusional if you think evangelicals got Trump elected. American citizens HATE the corruption in DC. They HATE that our representatives aren’t representing us.

And it’s laughable that you think Trump admitted to abusing women. He did no such thing. He was saying woman allow powerful men to grab them. And he’s right. There is a line of woman willing to have sex with athletes, actors, politicians, etc. He didn’t say he did. But to be SO offended by what he said when you had no such offense over Kennedy KILLING a woman or Clinton raping one and abusing many women, is hysterically funny. You Lefties who supported and voted for the most reprehensible men, are in no position to act shocked over locker room talk.

I don’t care how unPresidential Trump acts in your eyes. He is doing what’s best for the country. After Obama said there was no magic wand to being back the economy or jobs, that’s EXACTLY what Trump is doing. And he’s doing it Constitutionally. You are just repeating what you hear Trump haters say, you have no idea what Trump is like.

I also want to point out that you asked me to name reputable scientists who didn’t believe in AGW. I gave you a LONG list that didn’t even include the 31,000 who signed a letter saying man had little effect on temperature or climate and you’ve ignored it.

Trying to change the subject? You apparently want to talk about nonsense that has no effect on our lives. Oh, well.

      • Frank says:

Ahh! You might want to watch 60 Minutes from today. Your own governor is leading the charge against the ignorance of climate deniers. He’s a very smart dude and is almost 80 years old. I think he probably knows more about man-made climate change than either of us.

Not changing subject at all! The Evangelicals are a bunch of kooks who are in a cult-like environment (think David Koresch and the Branch Davidians) I have never seen anything you describe in public schools or private schools in all my travels in the past five years. Where do you get such idiotic information?

        Stay healthy young lady!

        Frank

      • I might add, that the fires were more than likely arson. And they were made worse by Brown’s policies. California is on the largest body of water in the world. There is no reason for a water shortage. I went to a meeting in Santa Monica last year about water. A man from the water board explained Santa Monica is on a flood plain and therefore sits on a vast reservoir of water that supplies so much water they sell water to other cities. They ALSO have a desalination plant. So they have more than enough water but they cut people’s use by 25% to serve as an example to other cities. There is a wide plant strip down the middle of San Vicente Blvd from Bundy to the ocean. There are trees every 20 feet or more and it had well kept grass. Whenever you drive down that street you’ll see people walking their dogs or jogging or just strolling. Brown won’t let any cities water these strips and they’re all dead and look horrible. We used to have green landscaping along the sides of our freeways. Brown paid people to replace their lawns with wood chips. The city and state parks are brown. Plus we can’t clear out the forests. They are overgrown and trees are dying because there are too many. California is a tinderbox and it’s Brown’s fault.

      • Frank says:

As I wrote above, the Evangelicals (AKA “Fake Christians) basically were the reason for the election of Trump. But it’s not so much what he says but how he looks when he says the obnoxious things he does. At the same time, HIllary was a horrible candidate. It’s really difficult to actually like her.

Donald Trump is a mediocre intelligence, he has no moral or ethical compass, has no usable education despite what his dad bought for him, has no intellectual curiosity that would allow him to learn even if he didn’t have a pronounced learning disability and is demonstrating a degenerating mind in a grossly degenerate corpus. So, where does that leave us?

What he is doing is alienating our oldest allies, destroying relevant regional salients around the globe taunting potential adversaries he thinks he can bully and sucking up to rivals who are playing him and the United States in a fashion we haven’t seen since before the American Civil War.

What isn’t he doing? He’s not growing the capacity of our economy in real terms (i.e., education, physical and technological infrastructure). He’s not building alliances for mutual benefit, protecting our trade agreements, demonstrating fealty, strength and active commitment to the ideals that have made us a world leader in the past.

In fact, on the “happen and doesn’t happen” scale, he is the biggest disaster in American History.

It’s been a pleasure to have a friendly debate with a woman who looks like she is maybe 50 but is actually older. Thank you for making this school year one of the best. We may disagree on different things but that doesn’t really matter. Your writing is mostly kind and at the same time lacks basic facts–but that’s okay Michael. I lack tact much of the time.

I pray you have a very Merry Christmas and continue to vigorously defend things you believe are true. It is fascinating to read your posts!

        Frank

      • I understand why you think what you do. The media has nothing good to say about Trump but you have a very biased and uninformed opinion of Trump. I was a delegate for Ted Cruz. I was not a Trump supporter. I listened to all the negative press too. But I now know people who work in the White House and people who know him and you and the media are wrong. First of all, I agree he isn’t well educated but he has a high IQ and he certainly isn’t ignorant. People who have been in meetings with him say he listens to everyone and asks insightful questions. He listens to both sides. Obama almost never met with his cabinet. Trump meets weekly and they start with prayer.

To think Trump doesn’t know what he’s doing or doesn’t understand the complexities of being President is absurd. He has businesses in countries around the world and is an excellent negotiator. He also knows what is possible. He understands international business AND politics.
The idea that Trump could have become as successful as an international businessman but doesn’t know how to stimulate the economy is a laughable argument. You say he isn’t growing the economy in real terms. LOL!! Of course he is. Obama’s economy hovered around 1.5% to 2.5% for the ENTIRE 8 YEARS. Trump increased the economy to nearly 4% in just 9 months. Education infrastructure??? Education is in the toilet BECAUSE of government. Trump just ordered our electric grid to be protected from an EMP…..something Obama never did even though he knew the danger of not doing it.

Our trade agreements shouldn’t be protected. They need to be re-negoatiated. Our trade agreements put us and our economy at a disadvantage. I don’t want ANY President that puts US at a disadvantage. And actually Trudeau complimented Trump for his desire to re-negoiate the agreements.

Trump CERTAINLY is committed to making us the world leader we were in the past. Obama was working to make us weaker. You are so wrong. Obama was the biggest disaster in American History. Obamacare, Stimulus Bill that was supposed to build infrastructure but didn’t, Benghazi, Fast and Furious, the IRS targeting of Conservative groups and people, his “rules of engagement” that got more soldiers killed, his withdrawal from Iraq, his arming of ISIS, his allowing Hezbollah to run cocaine into our country, his spying on an incoming President, his protecting the corruption of the Clintons, he made race relations WORSE, etc, etc, etc!! Obama was friends with our enemies and enemies with our friends.

Relax, my friend, the economy is roaring back and companies are going to expand and create jobs, but I doubt you will see it because all you’ll hear is how horrible he is. Actually, he is a loving father and husband.

My writing doesn’t lack facts, you just don’t like them. How many scientists who don’t believe man is causing global warming have you actually sat down with and listened to? How many people do you know working in this administration or who know Trump? Wake up, my friend, you are being lied to. You need to “question boldly”.

You have a Merry Christmas. I glad I could help you have a good year.

    • The following bans on prayer, nativity scenes, Christian clubs aren’t being made against “Evangelicals”. These bans are in numerous states across the nation and only against Christianity. In the military a Chaplin was fired for saying, “In Jesus name” and they aren’t allowed to have a Bible on their desks. I’m not surprised you don’t know this since I doubt your news sources cover it. But the following show that the Left is trying their hardest to remove God and specifically Christianity from the public square.

      • Frank says:

Some final thoughts to end 2017. Your problem with Obama and fascination and support for Trump can be summed up with the following (an essay by one of my classmates)
To die hard Trump Supporters, what exactly was it about Obama., that embarrassed you?
Were you embarrassed by his lone and enduring twenty-five year marriage to a strong woman he’s never ceased to publicly praise, respect, or cherish?
Were you embarrassed by the way he lovingly and sweetly parented and protected his daughters?
Were you embarrassed by his Columbia University degree in Political Science or his graduating magna cum laude from Harvard Law School?
Maybe you were embarrassed by his white American and Black Kenyan parents, or the diversity he was raised in as normal?
Were you embarrassed by his eloquence, his quick wit, his easy humor, his seeming comfort meeting with both world leaders and street cleaners; by his bright smile or his sense of empathy or his steadiness—perhaps by his lack of personal scandals or verbal gaffes or impulsive tirades?
        No. Of course you weren’t.
Honestly, I don’t believe you were ever embarrassed. That word implies an association that brings ridicule, one that makes you ashamed by association, and if that’s something you claim to have experienced over the past eight years by having Barack Obama representing you in the world—I’m going to suggest you rethink your word choice.
You weren’t “embarrassed” by Barack Obama.
        You were threatened by him.
        You were offended by him.
        You were challenged by him.
        You were enraged by him.
But I don’t believe it had anything to do with his resume or his experience or his character or his conduct in office—because you seem fully proud right now to be associated with a three-time married, serial adulterer and confessed predator; a man whose election and business dealings and relationships are riddled with controversy and malfeasance.
You’re perfectly fine being represented by a bullying, obnoxious, genitalia-grabbing, Tweet-ranting, Prime Minister-shoving charlatan who’s managed to offend all our allies in a few short months. And you’re okay with him putting on religious faith like a rented, dusty, ill-fitting tuxedo and immediately tossing it in the garbage when he’s finished with it.
None of that you’re embarrassed of? I wonder how that works.
Actually, I’m afraid I have an idea. I hope I’m wrong.
Listen, you’re perfectly within your rights to have disagreed with Barack Obama’s policies or to have taken issue with his tactics. No one’s claiming he was a flawless politician or a perfect human being. But somehow I don’t think that’s what we’re talking about here. I think the thing President Obama did that really upset you, white friend—was having a complexion that was far darker than you were ever comfortable with. I think the President we have now feels much better.
Because objectively speaking, if what’s happening in our country right now doesn’t cause you great shame and doesn’t induce the continual meeting of your palm to your face—I don’t believe embarrassment is ever something you struggle with.
No, if you claimed to be “embarrassed” by Barack Obama but you’re not embarrassed by Donald Trump—I’m going to strongly suggest it was largely a pigmentation issue.

        Again, Merry Christmas Michael!

        Frank

      • Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you, Frank.

I’m a little busy right now with family celebrations but don’t worry, I’ll have a thoughtful, truthful answer to this silly, rant that lacks critical thinking. That lacks curiosity on why, if Obama’s credentials were SO impressive and noteworthy, he had all his records sealed. But, hang in there, I’ll get back to you.

        Sincerely, Michael

      • Happy New Year, Frank!

I finally have some time to answer your last entry in my blog. So, here goes.

What exactly was it about Obama that embarrassed me? I wouldn’t use the word “embarrassed”. I’d say there were things that concerned me greatly……should have concerned you too….and would have if Obama had been a Republican. What is sad is that you don’t have the objectivity to know how true that is.

My biggest concern was that Obama didn’t like America. Neither did his wife (“for the first time in my life I’m proud of my country”). He didn’t salute the flag or sing the anthem. Silly me, I like a President who LOVES America. One who respects what the flag and anthem stand for. Lives lost defending FREEDOM. One who doesn’t think it needs to be “transformed”. America may not be perfect but it doesn’t need to be transformed. We are the most generous people on the planet. We have given our lives to help protect other countries from tyranny. We are first at every natural disaster. We are a kind and compassionate country. You and your class mate need to read “Republican like me” by the former CEO of NPR. He traveled to Red states to meet Conservative Republicans and see if they were the toothless, ignorant, racist, hate mongers the Left portrayed them as. He found intelligent, kind, helpful, openminded people. He went hunting and learned to respect the 2nd amendment. Although he has not registered as a Republican (he’s registered as an independent) he is no longer a Liberal.

His “lone” (I think you mean long) and enduring marriage? I don’t know where anyone criticized his marriage or parenting. Both Bushes had long and enduring marriages too. So what? I haven’t heard Trump do anything but praise his wife and children either. And clearly he did a good job raising productive children. (You won’t find any pictures of Trump children smoking dope…..like Malia).

When Obama’s college records are unsealed I’ll tell you if I’m embarrassed by his college performance or not. Until then, I certainly can’t praise what I don’t know. Don’t you want to know why his records are sealed if they are such a source of pride?

Was I embarrassed by his White mother and Black father? Not at all. I can truthfully say that is what I DID like about him. And I can say nearly everyone I know felt the same. Both Herman Cain and Ben Carson have HUGE support and they were 100% Black. So does Condalisa Rice and Clarance Thomas. Conservatives have no problem with minorities. We just prefer Conservative minorities just as you prefer Liberal minorities. Tell me, how does the Left treat Conservative minorities?

What about Obama’s eloquence, wit, comfort meeting world leaders, bright smile, empathy or lack of scandals? Well, you know eloquence is not a moral marker, nor a sign of goodness. Sociopaths are intelligent and eloquent. Eloquence has nothing to do with governing, it just helps the medicine go down. Trump has as much or more comfort meeting world leaders (he met more before he became POTUS than Obama did). In terms of scandals??? No, Obama’s scandals weren’t personal, they were political and affected US in very negative ways. Fast and Furious, where he had to impose Executive privilege to prevent the public from finding out he knew about it and ordered it. When was the last time your friend remembers an Attorney General being found in Contempt of Congress? How about Benghazi, where he LIED to our faces saying it was caused by a video? He was really sending arms to what became ISIS. I’d call that a scandal. What about telling us we could keep our doctor when he knew it was a lie. What about the IRS abuse of Conservative groups? What about giving billions to Iran under cover of night? What about spying on an incoming POTUS? What about all the unmasking of American Citizens to try to bring down a POTUS? I’d call sedition a scandal.

Crazy me, I’d rather have personal scandals that don’t effect my life or yours, than political scandals that effect our lives and traditions in serious negative ways.

I wasn’t……we weren’t embarrassed by Obama. He scared us to death. He protected, defended, and praised Islam. He (without the knowledge of the people) brought in more Muslims than ever before. He gave 680,000 green cards to Muslims. He brought very few Christians from Muslim countries. I wonder why.

Yes, we were threatened by him. He threatened our way of life and our culture. You should have been too.

Yes, we were offended by him. I’m offended by a POTUS not liking my country, for his first trip being an apology tour, blaming us for the ills of the world. I was offended by his bowing to dictators. I was offended that he said we had to give up some of our sovereignty to the UN. I was offended by his unconstitutional acts. FYI, he had NO authority to enact DACA…..which he admitted 23 times.

Challenged by him? No. What what was his challenge?

Enraged by him. Hmm…..sometimes, yes. Call me crazy, but I believe in the Rule of Law, the Bill of Rights and the Constitution. He didn’t.

The comments about us being OK with “three time married, serial adulterer and confessed predator” is SO ridiculous. Yes, he was married 3 times. For you Liberals who support the destruction of the moral fabric of this country (gay-marriage being equal to traditional marriage, gender neutral bathrooms, locker rooms and showers, teaching kids transgender is normal, teaching grade school kids how to safely engage in oral and anal sex, etc) this moral judgement is pretty funny. Especially when you also supported Clinton who certainly was PROVEN to be a serial adulterer, and rapist. Who lost his law license for lying under oath and Ted Kennedy who KILLED a woman and was also a proven serial adulterer. Being offended that Trump has divorced is HYSTERICALLY funny. And as to the accusation that Trump is a “confessed predator”, that is simply not true. If you want to change the minds of people who disagree with you, you can’t lie. Trump said women allowed famous men to grab them by the p***y. That wasn’t an admission that he did it, just an acknowledgement that it was true. Maybe you need to listen to the tape again. And when the women who have made accusations against Trump (NONE of them that he grabbed them by the P***y) have been paid large sums of money why would you believe them? I’m not saying Trump is a saint, but he also isn’t what your friend claims.

Trump hasn’t offended our allies. I’d say Israel is pretty happy with him. Any who are unhappy with him are unhappy because he is the biggest threat to global governance and THANK YOU GOD! In actual fact, most of the world leaders he’s met have liked him very much. They just don’t like that he pulled out of the Paris agreement and wants to renegotiate trade deals that are bad for America. And look, the rocket man is toning down his rhetoric. YAY!

I’ll tell you what offends ME about your school mate’s rant. That he claims we Conservatives didn’t like Obama because he is Black. That is a childish, purposely offensive, and bigoted accusation. I don’t know anyone who cared about Obama’s color. If they had any opinion about his color it was positive. We didn’t like him because he’s a Marxist, anti-Constitutional, anti-American.

The fact that you sent me this rant from your classmate makes me assume you share his opinion. You need to open your mind and start challenging what the Left tells you to believe. When was the last time a climate skeptic was allowed to speak on your campus?

        Anyway, have a good 2018.

    • Frank says:

Regarding your January 2, 2018 response:

My dad went to Harvard Law and became friends with both Barack and Michele Robinson Obama. My friend’s “rant” DID mean “lone” and not “long”. He was referring to the Barack’s ONLY marriage…and from what my dad and his friends said, they were inseparable while at Harvard. No affairs, no grabbing women in inappropriate places etc. Dad said he did smoke pot with Barack once while at Harvard but said Barack really wasn’t much into it. My dad passed away in 2015 of Pancreatic Cancer. (Hate Cancer!)

Just so you know, presidents do not release their college transcripts or any other personal information. It’s like the lunatics who actually believed Obama was not born in the USA. How on earth could that have slipped by the FBI, CIA, SS, etc?? But, the nuts who called themselves “Christians” simply refused to believe Obama was born here.

Obama handled that with his usual dignity and grace and did not Tweet “he was (like) really smart and a (like) “genius” The real question we all should ask is why Trump has not released his taxes? If he did that, the Russian story would be all over…or it could also end his presidency. Who knows? All other presidents have released their taxes. Why not Trump?

The “elephant in the room” for the entire presidency of Obama was racism…pure and simple. Mitch McConnell: “I’ll work with Biden but will not work with that other guy.” (referring to Obama) How do lunatics who call themselves “Christians” and “Conservatives” justify not voting for anything Obama tried to pass?

How do the lunatics explain that under Obama, the stock market went up 140% in his eight years in office and unemployment went from near 10% down to ~4%? And now Trump (in his usual narcissistic manner tries to take credit for the economy and the stock market. We both know it was Obama’s policies that dug the country out of the mess that GW Bush left for him.

Regarding your belief that weather is the same as climate: It’s quite simple. Actual, verifiable data show that global warming is, in part, caused by burning fossil fuels. We humans burn fossil fuels.

Actual data show that helping the poor helps us all. Actual data show that universal healthcare is better than no care.

Archeological studies show that the earth is far older than counting Biblical generations shows. Actual geology shows that the earth is billions of years old–not thousands.

Actual genetic data reveal our ancestral links to all other living and past creatures. All these data-driven discoveries in colleges and universities contradict Republican orthodoxy and are therefore, “liberal” and wrong. Republican Solution: cut off the money, never mind the damage to our children’s and our nation’s futures.

Finally, the thing that drives progressive people crazy is the obsequious behavior of Trump’s cabinet and his so-called “advisers”. It’s like if they don’t kiss his ring (I’m trying to be polite) they are fired or are demeaned by his childish Tweets.

Happy New Year again Michael. I look forward to meeting you someday.

      Frank

      • WOW! Hard to know where to begin. Obama met Michelle when she was an attorney and Obama was an intern at her office. I hate to contradict your father but I read both of Obama’s books and he said his last two years were a blur because he took whatever drugs were available with enthusiasm. As he said he belonged to the “Chum Gang” in high school and smoked LOTS of dope. He laughs when he says he inhaled.

I find no virtue in the fact that the Obamas have only been married once. So have the Clintons. People marry and stay married for a variety of reasons. But I wouldn’t be surprised if Barak and Michelle like each other, they both hate America.

McConnell may have preferred to work with Biden, but he IS working with Trump now. I absolutely DESPISE the Republican leadership, McConnell ESPECIALLY, because none of them wanted an outsider with no political obligations to come in and change the status quo. I guess you missed that they all worked with Trump to pass the tax cut bill.

Racism had NOTHING to do with the Right not liking Obama. As I’ve said many times, I don’t know anyone who gives a rats ass about Obama’s race. As I’ve said that was what I DID like about him. We crazy, toothless, ignorant people believe in the Rule of Law and the Constitution. Obama didn’t. He said he didn’t. He said the Constitution said what government couldn’t do and didn’t say what government could do. We want LIMITED government. That’s what this country was founded on. The pilgrims FLED from tyranny. They wanted to be free.

I know LOTS of Christians, none are idiots and I’m not aware of any Christians except a few fringe who are disputing where Obama was born. Even though every birth certificate produced has been a fraud. Personally, I don’t care.

Christians didn’t vote for Obama’s policies??? What didn’t pass? What bill that Obama wanted didn’t pass? And what is the justification of the Christian Democrats have for voting against EVERYTHING Trump wants. We Conservatives were ANGRY that Republicans DIDN’T even try to stop Obama’s unconstitutional policies. We came to realize they want the same things. And that has nothing to do with their religious beliefs. I am offended by your hate of Christians. And where is your tolerance and inclusiveness toward Christians or Conservatives. Democrats are Christians too.

How do we explain the stock market going up under Obama? PRINTING MONEY! We aren’t doing that now and the stock market just passed 25000. With 94 MILLION working aged people unemployed the 4% is obviously not correct. ALL during the Obama administration we had the fewest people working. We had more people in poverty and more on food stamps. PLUS the HIGHEST Black unemployment in 30 years. Under Trump we have the LOWEST Black unemployment since they started keeping records. Lower than the 60’s. Obama’s policies KEPT us in the mess Clinton left for us. Th financial meltdown may have happened during Bush but it was caused by the Neighborhood Reinvestment Act that gave mortgage loans to people who couldn’t afford them. It took a while for the bubble to burst and it did during Bush. The economic growth under Obama never reached 3% the ENTIRE EIGHT YEARS! How do you think taxing companies out of the country help the economy?

I KNOW the difference between weather and climate. Climate changes, always has, always will. What all your climate alarmists fail to consider is the Sun’s influence on temperature. None of the climate models the alarmists use factors in the influence of the Sun. DUH! No matter what we do, if there is little activity on the Sun, it will cool.

I have no idea what you are referring to when you say there is data-driven discoveries that contradict Republican orthodoxy. I have no idea what you are talking about. If you want to be more specific, I’ll comment on it.

I look forward to meeting you too,

        Michael

  2. I know EXACTLY what Governor Brown thinks and no, I don’t think he’s smarter than me. You, maybe, but not me. Nor is he a scientist, not is he smarter than the NOBLE PRIZE Physicist who is a Skeptic. He’s a GLOBALIST! He wants NWO. He wants open borders and to import all the Muslims in the world here. He’s bankrupted the state. Pensions will soon take ALL the tax income just like Illinois. Businesses are leaving in droves. We have the highest taxes in the country, we have nearly $4.00/gal gas. We have the worst graduation percentages. To make the percentages look better, last year they lowered the standards and now they graduate D average students. However, I DO think Brown knows man isn’t causing global warming, but he also knows it’s the best way to bring about NWO.

Oh, I’ll be happy to send you links to it all. My non-profit is organizing an event for a High School coach who was fired for praying with his players. I don’t have time today. Evangelicals aren’t kooks and you tolerant, inclusive Lefties have to stop character assassinating people you don;t know. You who says all Muslims aren’t responsible for the actions of a few, are quick to blame all Evangelicals.

    Shame on you.
